October 2016 Stitch Fix Review #4

Happy Friday! Andrew flies in today, so I cannot wait to enjoy the weekend with him and Juno! Before we all head into the weekend, I wanted to wish all my blog friends a happy Stitch Fix day!

In case you aren’t familiar with Stitch Fix, it is a program where you get an online stylist who sends you 5 items whenever you prefer (I get items every eight weeks or so). The items your stylist sends are based off of your style profile, which includes everything from fit to style to budget. You’ve got three days to try everything on in the comfort of your home, with your current wardrobe all around you. Then, you choose what to keep and send back what you don’t like (totally free – shipping is included).

This time, I was looking for items I could wear for fall and winter with leggings and jeans. At my "real job," I mostly wear jeans with boots or flip fops. Often, this makes me feel pretty frumpy. That's why I asked my stylist, Laura, to send me items I can wear with jeans or leggings that will make me look put together!

For my October 2016 stitch fix, I received:

Level 99 Jenni Skinny Jeans

I wore these jeans for all the pictures, and I loved the wash, length, and how they fit my legs. But ultimately, they did not fit well around the waist (likely because they were super high waisted).

RETURN

The Korner Elexis Stitch Detail Pullover

This was beautiful, and I absolutely love the color! There was also beautiful detailing in the knit. When I saw it in the box, I immediately wanted it!

I’d love to keep this item but it was a little itchy but the bigger problem was that it was dry clean only. I unfortunately can’t afford (or live in) clothes that require dry cleaning.

RETURN

Andrew Marc Performance Sintra Puffer Vest

The vest is a lot heavier than it looks, which will be great when it starts to get cold here in Texas. I already have a black vest and have been looking for a grey one for a long time. This one is so much better than the others I have looked at because it can be a little more formal.

It’s a really nice wool but is also lined so that it’s not super itchy. Win in my book!

KEEP

Collective Concepts Selden Textured V Neck Top

This blouse was such a pretty color, and I’ve been trying to incorporate more blush colors into my wardrobe but unfortunately this top is not it.

There were beautiful details on the sleeves but there wasn’t much shape to the shirt and it was a little too short.

RETURN

Market & Spruce Evella Boatneck Top

This top just looks like me. I love stripes and boat-necklines are so sweet. But truth is, there’s something I’m not totally loving about the shirt. I can’t quite figure out what it is but the fact they sent my mom the same top might be part of it!
